Introducing SG-OCRA™ by Genotipas: a non-invasive laboratory test for early oral cancer detection and follow-up

Genotipas presents SG-OCRA™, an epigenetics-based test that analyzes DNA methylation in 13 genes from a simple brush sample of oral mucosa. Using next-generation sequencing and a patented risk algorithm, the test returns a clear diagnostic score to help identify OSCC or high-grade dysplasia early and to support post-surgical surveillance.

Validated performance shows 97% sensitivity and 88% specificity, with prognostic use during 3-monthly follow-ups and reported ~90% accuracy for detecting secondary malignant events.

The kit is practice-ready – 5 brushes, 5 preservation tubes – and samples remain stable at room temperature, enabling routine screening and monitoring in dental care.
