The Jonava district municipality is located in the very center of Lithuania, and Jonava city — due to its compactness — is often called the 7-minute city.

WHAT’S NEW IN JONAVA:

A new scenic walking trail has been installed on the slope of the Joninės Pond, part of which is built on stilts. Walking along it, residents can enjoy fresh air surrounded by water and trees.

A new Rimkai Park has opened in Jonava. It features children’s playgrounds, relaxation areas with outdoor grills, an expanded pedestrian path network, smart lighting, and sustainable energy-saving solutions. Residents can enjoy a beautiful, green environment — and the new area for children and families is truly impressive; many say it could easily be included in the list of the best playgrounds in Lithuania.

Jonava is also building a new indoor sports arena. Once completed, it will provide excellent year-round training conditions for athletes of track and field, football, and other sports.
