The Vilnius Schoolchildren’s Creativity and Learning Centre invites you to join creative and therapeutic activities!

The Vilnius Schoolchildren’s Creativity and Learning Centre (VMKMC) is a place where children and young people can create, explore, discover themselves, and grow. The Centre offers both Formal Education Supplementary Programmes (FESP) and Non-Formal Children’s Education (NFCE) programmes, providing opportunities to explore various fields of art, develop creativity, broaden horizons, and strengthen personal skills.

During the “Stay Healthy Vilnius” exhibition, VMKMC will invite children and young people to take part in creative activities designed to promote emotional well-being:

“Color Alchemists” – An art therapy workshop exploring the meaning of colors and their impact on emotions. Through playful and educational activities, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the role colors play in everyday life while stimulating creativity and imagination. The workshop will be led by Arūnė Ščiupokaitė, VMKMC art therapist and member of the Lithuanian Art Therapy Association, together with painting teacher Gražina Aleksandra Škikūnaitė.

“Drawing Emotions with Tea” – An art therapy workshop using damp tea bags, gel pens, and ink pens as creative tools. Random tea stains become the starting point for artistic expression, with their unexpected shapes inspiring characters, landscapes, and imaginative scenes. This method encourages creativity and helps participants develop the ability to recognize artistic forms in everyday objects. By adding just a few pen strokes, a simple stain can be transformed into a unique artwork with its own character. The workshop will be led by VMKMC art teachers Lina Ringelienė and Kristina Daniūnaitė.

“Song Circle” – A music relaxation session where participants listen to soothing music, accompany it with musical instruments, and sing together with professional musicians. Through sound, rhythm, and song, visitors will be encouraged to find inner calm and relaxation. The session will be led by VMKMC teachers Viktorija Žustautienė (violin), Aleksandr Liutvinskij (guitar), and Nijolė Kniukštaitė-Vaičiulienė (vocals).

The workshops will take place on Friday, October 16, at the LITEXPO Conference Centre. We look forward to welcoming you!
