Welcome to dr. Akvilė Giniota‘s presentation “How to Make Consent Sexy?” and Tinklalaidė_O Workshop
During Dr. Akvilė Giniota’s dissertation defense, the phrase was voiced: “The lack of conversations about sexuality can be compared to sexual trauma.” The dissertation’s conclusions revealed that many adults feel lonely regarding sexuality education and face a lack of involvement from the community, friends, neighbors, colleagues, school, and even family. Adults’ silence with each other is one of the main reasons why sexuality education does not take place for young people.
In order to fill adults’ knowledge gaps and create a safe community, sexuality education expert Dr. Akvilė Giniota together with communications professional Daiva Gylyte started creating a new podcast about sexual culture, health, psychology, and play.

Tinklalaidė_O: How to make consent sexy?
These days “consent” for many is an inseparable and necessary part of sexual life, but for some it becomes like a scarecrow. There is still a lot of anxiety, whether asking for and giving consent will kill romance, spoil the moment of passion, or look artificial.
So how to make consent not only necessary, but also natural, safe, and PLEASURABLE? In the lecture sexuality educator Dr. Akvilė Giniota will share insights, examples, and suggestions on how to create a connection in which clear consent becomes part of clear, safe, and pleasurable intimacy.
