VILNIUS BOOK FAIR 2025

Vilnius Book Fair – the largest book fair in the Baltic countries, one of the brightest cultural events in Lithuania. This event, which promotes reading and celebrates it, annually invites visitors from all over Lithuania to meetings with writers, book presentations, discussions, concerts, exhibitions, creative workshops, and other cultural activities. About 300 publishers and other cultural organizations from Lithuania and foreign countries participate in the fair every year, more than 500 various events and concerts take place, and over four days the fair is visited by more than 50,000 visitors.

News and Guests

Books often come directly from the press to the fair. Readers have the opportunity to buy the latest works of Lithuanian and foreign writers first. It’s a tradition at the fair to get an autograph from the author by attending events. Publishers invite special guests to the fair, about whom information will be announced at the end of the year.

Discussions

As every year, discussions on current topics are organized, including discussions on artificial intelligence and the world it creates, art and propaganda, not forgetting the ongoing war in Ukraine. Attention will also be paid to people who read differently, along with the Lithuanian audio-sensory library.

Young Readers’ Hall

Visitors to the Young Readers’ Hall will be delighted by the abundance of new books at publisher stands and various creative activities and events taking place on the stage. The hall will feature an open LIBRARY SPACE created by Lithuanian librarians, children’s book creators will invite to workshops in the CREATIVE SPACE WITHOUT FORMULAS. At the YOUTH SPOT, discussions on the most pressing issues will be held. The youngest readers will be welcomed by the creators of the cozy BOOK START corner.

Amphitheater

This is not a new hall, just another name for the former Cinema hall located in Hall 1. Not only the name but also the concept of the hall is changing – in 2024 at the Vilnius Book Fair, literary, musical, and performative events will take place here.

Music Hall

As every year, you will be greeted with a unique program and a space filled with captivating content, organized by the AGATA association, bringing together a majority of Lithuanian musicians under one roof. This is the largest fair of Lithuanian music production with dozens of concerts, discussions, and meetings.
