Exploring Pleasure and Joy Through Dance Movement Therapy
In this experiential workshop, participants will be invited to explore how movement can become a source of pleasure, vitality, and inner resources through bodily sensations, movement, creative expression, and reflection. Within a Dance Movement Therapy space, we will focus on recognizing joy in the body—where it resides, how it moves, expands, and, at times, becomes suppressed.
The workshop will incorporate Dance Movement Therapy methods that help strengthen the connection with the body, deepen self-awareness, enhance emotional awareness, and foster a greater sense of inner safety. This is not a dance class or a performance, and no previous dance experience or special physical ability is required. The most important qualities are curiosity, respect for your body’s boundaries, and a willingness to explore. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing that allows free movement.
