Laughter without a reason? Absolutely! Meet Ieva Labanauskaitė and discover the sessions she will be leading in the Harmony Space.
Ieva Labanauskaitė is a professional theatre and film actress, an actress at the Juozo Miltinio Drama Theatre, a lecturer at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, a certified Feldenkrais® Method teacher (Belgium), and a Laughter Yoga instructor.
During Stay Healthy Vilnius, Ieva will invite participants to join two experiential sessions – “Awareness Through Movement” and Laughter Yoga – offering an opportunity to discover greater ease, mindfulness, and a deeper connection with oneself.
The “Awareness Through Movement” seminar is based on the Feldenkrais® Method, a somatic movement practice that helps participants better understand how their bodies respond to stress, recognize patterns of tension, and learn to move with greater ease and awareness. During the session, participants will explore their movement and thinking habits, develop a deeper sense of body awareness, learn to relax, and restore natural freedom of movement.
Laughter Yoga is a unique practice created by medical doctor Madan Kataria, where laughter becomes a conscious exercise. No jokes, comedy, or humor are needed – laughter emerges through playfulness, improvisation, breathing techniques, and the energy of the group. This practice helps reduce stress, stimulates the release of endorphins – the body’s natural “feel-good” hormones – improves oxygen intake, enhances emotional well-being, and promotes relaxation.
Laughter Yoga not only helps release accumulated emotions but also strengthens social connections, encourages openness, and fosters a sense of community. It is an opportunity to let go of everyday worries, quiet the mind, and experience more joy, energy, and lightness.
Sometimes, all it takes is allowing yourself to laugh – without a reason, yet with tremendous benefits for the body, mind, and emotional well-being.
