Sexuality Begins with Breath: New Experiences with Marius Šmitas
November 21, Friday, Hall 4 Presentation Stage, Marius Šmitas on “I Breathe – I Enjoy: How Breathing Affects Our Sex Life”
The way we feel is how we breathe. And the way we breathe is how we feel.
But can breathing really influence our sexuality? How can we stay active for longer? How can breath shape intimacy?
Since my teenage years, I’ve been driven by curiosity to explore the world and discover true joy in life. While some may associate me more with my long-standing career as a radio and TV host or as a promoter of electronic music, since 2008 I’ve spent most of my time traveling the world, actively practicing and teaching kitesurfing, and living in Southeast Asia. That period was deeply marked by studies of yoga, meditation, Vipassana, applied psychology, breathing, and energetic practices.
When the pandemic began in 2020, it became a push to dive even deeper into the Wim Hof Method, combining intensive breathing with cold therapy. This experience revived my earlier practices, inspired me to seek new approaches, and eventually led me to create an effective synthesis of methods. In pursuit of mastery, I studied with the legendary Dan Brule, explored holotropic and circular breathing, ancient breathing techniques, and integrated them with modern scientific knowledge through constant practice. I also delved into human physiology and psychosomatic states, exploring how breathing impacts the body and mind.
Today, in my programs, I integrate breathing and specially designed music with the most advanced methods of psychology, emotional therapy, and bodywork techniques to help people:
- Improve physical and mental well-being: strengthening the body and calming the mind through breathing practices.
- Relieve stress and anxiety: using effective breathing and relaxation techniques.
- Discover inner peace and balance: through deep breathing sessions and meditation.
- Unlock their potential: by cultivating conscious breathing and its impact on emotions and behavior.
I am open to collaboration, new connections, and opportunities to share my knowledge. Let’s meet!
